I have always hated tomato juice, despite being a bartender for more years and making more bloody mary’s than I care to remember… all with good reviews. Well, always, until March this year when my boyfriend made me a bloody mary on our trip to Puerto Rico. I fell in love!
I’m not sure if it was my newly acquired taste for spicy foods that allowed me to enjoy the horseradish or my raw vegan taste buds that seem to be a lot more open to new experiences than my SAD or vegetarian taste buds.
Whatever it was, I now am a huge fan of Sean’s bloody marys, and while in the market tonight stocking up for fresh produce for my dinner juice for day 2 of my fast, I saw some huge, lusciously red tomatoes and they started whispering my name, louder and louder until they were screaming at me!
I grabbed four of the suckers and some other goodies and came up with a delish savory concoction that tastes good without the vodka ; )
