So today wasn’t the best environment in which to start a juice fast, but that’s life hey?! I was facilitating an offsite for work with a catered lunch and it was difficult for me to be drinking red juice all day so I did my best. I made the first juice on Joe’s list last night (ABCs) in preparation for an early morning. I started the day at 5am with a lemon water, had a glass (250ml) of the 1 liter the recipe made around 6am and took the rest to work. Between my Invisalign retainers and being in front of people all day, I couldn’t have any more juice until 10:30am at which point I was starving!
I had a sneaky glass with a few curious looks and put it away until lunch time. To be social, I ate the plate of overcooked asparagus and zucchini they had prepared for my lunch (I did ask for salad but apparently they felt overcooking vegetables is more appetizing??). I just got home and am finishing off the bottle – it’s even drinkable at room temperature which I’m excited about. Going to go for a walk and am guessing I wll need to make another juice for dinner later on, plus one for tomorrow, although not sure 1 liter all day be enough to get me through the day…
ABCs juice is quite tasty. Not sure if I’d like it if it was my first juice though as it’s quite earthy due to the beets and cabbage. After having my breakfast juice for so long I’m used to the taste and have grown to like it, others may find it takes some getting used to. I’ve never juiced cabbage before and it felt kind of strange but I suppose it’s good for me!
