I just hosted my first wine night, (mostly) raw vegan style… and it went well! A group of girls in Boston get together once a month, rotating between houses, to drink wine, chat and eat food. My v. good friend Brooke is my link to the group and we are the only crazy raw vegans so there’s usually a lot of cheese. I do think, however, that wine night was a success tonight without it! Phew.
I whipped up some flax seed crackers, fresh guacamole, my saucy spicy salsa, baguette with delicious dipping oil flavored with Halladay’s Italian Bruschetta blend and my new favorite choc chip cookies. I will post all recipesover time (when I get the cookie recipe back from Brooke!!), but for now, the salsa…
I LOVE this stuff! It’s simple: no raw gadgets required, super tasty and deliciously saucy. And who doesn’t love saucy? The ingredients are flexible, the only thing you need to remember is that the end product is only as good as the fresh ingredients you put in!!

It is good eaten straight away, best by far on my flax seed crackers but some non-raw foodies like corn chips. To up the ante, store it in an airtight container overnight to let the flavors combine in the juiciness and eat the next day. It does store for up to 3 days in the refrigerator but it never ever lasts that long!
